I'm hard pressed to remember a rally with worse weather. After off-and-on sprinkles early morning, the rain gods got serious just as the Juniors and Seniors were about to take the ring and ride and the skies opened up. By the time our gamers had toughed it out through the first 6 games, the rings were a slurry of sand and water, horse and rider were soaked to the bone. I don't think we were having fun any more. To keep everyone safe, we cut the rally short, and called it a day.Our Seniors came away with 1st in Horse Management and 1st overall, despite finishing last (figuring that out is left as an exercise for the reader). The Junior 'Skittles' team finished 3rd in HM, and some strong games play pulled them to 2nd overall.Both our teams included scramble members, so we made new Pony Club friends. Thanks for coming Viktoria and Kacey.Erica did a super job organizing the rally. Our parents pitched in to help the show run like a clock, despite the weather.
